Their methodology doesn't seem that bad (surveying bankers), but it seems off that major BB's aren't in the top 10. BoA is ranked 21...I also assume that BX refers to BX M&A and obviously not BX PE...
Any comments?
these rankings seem alright, except why is deutsche above Citi and BAML? i would ask why Moelis isn't up there as well, but their reputation has tanked lately on this forum.

Seeing as GS is completely screwed, these rankings are even more worthless than usual.
WTF? Dresdner Kleinwort doesn't even exist anymore yet it's ranked....where are Lehman Brothers and Bear Stearns?
I'm pretty sure these aren't the new rankings. This has been out for several months already. I believe the new one is coming out in 3-4 months and it will be the 2011 edition...
even though GS is getting screwed, it's still #1. in 2012, if the current trend of pummeling GS continues, there is a sizable chance that it may not be.
Yeah, I think these are pretty dated. One of the biggest problems with rankings like these is that they can change in a day given how volatile the industry is.
you guys are right--i just assumed they were new cause they say 2010...
i was just confused because i would think a lot of people would take alot of the places on the list over UBS banking...(esp considering this is meant to be a US banking list...)
