Just curious if anybody has an advice on reaching out to vets working in the finance world that could not only be great contacts for future networking, but also as a way to get different types of advice. I have accepted a SA position, but am just concerned I might not make a hasty decision going forward into next year and FT recruiting next yr.

I am a military officer (West Pointer) looking to transition into a career in finance. I have heard fromseveral people at this point that there is a large military veterans presence in S&T. Any of you guys veterans who can point me in the right direction to get my foot in the door in the trading world?
I was a management and econ double major back at school, and an infantry officer/ranger in the Army, so I have some 'life experience" and leadership experience, but as far as trading goes I have only managed my own inverstment accounts.
I know I would be starting off at the bottom, or near it, so please dont assume I thnk im going to come in and "run the show"....but I really dont know where in the food chain is realistic for me to start and what positions I sould be applying for.
