Got an email today saying they changed their name. I signed up during undergrad and never got the SAC Capital interview I was promised. Been spammed ever since - anyone know why they changed their name? I actually thought the name Street of Walls was good for what they were trying to do.

They probably got a really bad rap by everyone so they changed their name to hopefully not be black listed by everyone.
They're basically a recruiting firm now lol and with their reputation I cant imagine any real clients wanting to work with them
Exactly. Nobody wants to deal with the Street of Walls, but maybe they'll do business with Vettery, because they'll vet out all of the bad candidates!!

Yup! They probably hired a consulting company that survey tested all these dumb names and vettery tested the best with the middle aged moms who actually take those surveys lol
For what it's worth, I actually got a PE interview through Street of Walls. I think their bad reputation isn't fully deserved - they actually do work with some buyside clients and have decent interview prep materials.
That said, the new name sounds kind of stupid.
Additional datapoint -- I also got a high-profile HF interview/offer from Street of Walls after taking their online test. It's run by a couple of ex-banker/HF guys. It may have been an open mandate position (heard about it through another HH a few days later), but they did get me the interview slot.
Registering for Vettery/Street of Walls is worth it for the Skill Center tests and free prep materials alone.
I would imagine most people don't enter expecting to get interviews from it.
