Vivek was never a serious candidate with his lack of tact regarding his corporate style views on international relations. I support semiconductor independency but he alienated a lot of people due to the way he framed it.

I actually disagree.  If you look at the polling among voters in Iowa.  He was absolutely dominating the polls among 1st time caucus participants, which is a strong signal in terms to attracting new voters.  I'm not 100% up to speed on all of the hisotrical numbers but I do beleive that he has the highest percentage ever of first time caucus goers.

He's got a future but too big of a leap from coming literally out of nowhere to POTUS. I did like how he was the only candidate who had clear and concise policy papers on how exactly he'd shrink the administrative state. Not "trust me bro we'll cut government" since literally every Republican has said that only to make it bigger, and even a number of moderate Dems have said that back when their party was more centrist and working class. He actually had ideas that were actionable.

The issue with Vivek’s campaign was that he ran on the idea that he was like Trump, but he wasn’t Trump. However, with a figure as popular as Trump, all the hardcore Trump supporters would vote for Trump anyway, leaving very few people to support VivekThe only way Vivek had a shot at the GOP nomination is if Trump was forced to drop out due to legal issues. Once he realized that Trump wasn’t going to be disqualified from the ballot, Vivek was basically campaigning for VP a la Kamala Harris. Now, Trump that has announced that he has chosen a running mate and decimated Ramaswamy, there is no reason for Vivek to stay in the race.

He was a bit of a political moron and never seriously had a chance to win.

What he did was spend $15M to give himself a national brand. I'm betting there's a media career in his future.

The simple fact is that the majority of Republicans are White, and though most won't admit to it publicly for fear of being labeled "racist," in private most of them are going to vote for a candidate that looks like them. If Vivek Ramaswamy was a White man named "Victor Richardson" with all the other accoutrements that Vivek had (Harvard-educated, successful entrepreneur, superb orator, etc.), he would have given The Donald a real run for his money. As a Brown man, his campaign was dead on arrival no matter what he ran for or what vision he outlined for the country

I think his strategy was similar to Pete Buttigieg in that he was more so running to try and get a cabinet position than to get the nomination.

He's either going to get a cabinet position or VP. Trump said he will be working for him for a "long time."
