VP is talking so loud
The VP whose office is right next to my cube talks so loud, both on business or personal calls, and he always turns on the speaker and keeps the door open, so I can hear every single word coming out of his month and the phone. It's getting really annoying. Anyone else have such experience and knows how to deal with it?

Take it in your stride
People like that are assholes IMO. Have some damn courtesy.
in comes first year analyst to tell me "this is IB not a manners class!" well you can suck it
One of the VP's during my summer gig was the same. Door wide open and speakerphone up to the max.
Knock his ass out with two jabs and a right cross!
Why don't you just tell him you have heard some confidential things and he may want to consider shutting the door while on calls to prevent that in the future.
Ugh, same problem here, people I'm on the phone with LOL all the time because they can hear their stupid voice...it's THAT obnoxious. They do this to demonstrate how 'important' they are in lieu of making MD after 15+ years of sitting at the same desk. Headphones, or close office door if you're so lucky to have one.
Or send a message from yopmail saying "Hey, I and my group can hear you from xyz area (not your cube, duh) so close your door, ya douch!" Don't do this from a work computer.
it's not his job to make you comfortable. it's the other way around.
i close the door...
old bastard usually walks around the reception, trying to impress girls working there...
cant say shit.. he is an md
noise-cancelling headphones
how about you trust trade on the inside info you hear.
Agree with all the headphone comments here; put them on and put on some light tunes that you can focus to (i.e. no Skrillex).
I need my silence. I know that feel bro
