rufioloveIt just takes one, but the more you get the more your odds increase.

Es verdad, pero how many do you need to feel like you're not going to have to work at King Taco this summer?

I can't really answer that for you as I didn't go through SA recruiting for banking. You get what you get though... no point in worrying about it. Just maximize your opportunities and don't take any interviews for granted. I would definitely recommend applying to every BB and as many boutiques and MMs as you can.

with the process becoming more random and competitive, you cannot afford to limit yourself. network everywhere and apply everywhere. you will obviously only need and accept one offer, but if you go through the process and impress people, you may find yourself with a sizable rolodex of contacts and potential mentors. if you keep these relationships, they can definitely pay dividends beyond your internship and first job

as for rounds for each bank, it can vary depending on your school (target vs. non-target). in my experience at a target, it's usually 2 rounds. first round is typically one on-campus interview (or phone in some cases). 2nd round is at least 3 interviews in a superday format, usually on-site. however, some banks have chosen to have 2nd rounds as just one more on-campus interview and then the offer decision will come from that.
