Waiting for a decision
I received an offer to work for X firm in their lev fin group that expires this month, however I'm still interviewing. Had my second round interview to for a BB firm last friday, they will be making final decisions by mid jan.I brought up that I had another offer they were not sure if they could make a decision that quick. How should I approach X firm to get them to extend the offer without sounding rude
I would just say you have a lot to think about/important decision and were hoping they could extend the offer by a few weeks- they might not, so don't be surprised if they say no (likely have people waitlisted). I would work harder on the other banks to make them speed up the process.
^^^Yup, work with the other bank. If the other firm gave you a few weeks, then by asking for an extension won't make them happy.
