I recently attended a final round interview for an elite boutique and the HR folks told me I would be hearing back within the same week of the interview. It's been 3 weeks since then and despite my emails and even leaving a message with HR, I haven't had any response at all from them. I would assume if I was unsuccessful, they would have the common courtesy of telling me to screw off, but it's been complete radio silence.

not necessarily dinged. took about 2-3 months for both my SA and FT offers at 2 different banks. if you're on the waitlist, they'll tell you. you should follow up with one of your interviewers though.
There is nothing you can assume from this, bro. You don't have any information to go on really. There could be a senior person out of the office, they could be interviewing other peeps before officially making a decision, they could be keeping you as a backup, etc. You have no way of figuring out what's going on from armchair speculation.
