Want to quit banking
I just started as an analyst, but I’m realizing banking may not be what I actually want long term. Financial security is less of a motivator for me and I feel much more energized by the idea of building or joining an early-stage startup.
I’m struggling to tell whether this is normal pre-start anxiety or a genuine mismatch. Part of me thinks I should do the two years, but another part worries I’ll regret spending that time on a path I already suspect isn’t right for me.
For those who left banking or seriously considered it, how did you know when to leave?
Give it a year at least
