Warren Buffet & Wall Street
I’ve been reading a lot about Warren these days, and one thing I’ve come to wonder about is why Warren and Charlie seem to think Wall Street is so little value add. It seems like they almost have a complete deference to a lot of the ways we’re taught things should be on the Street, and I’ve come to wonder if we’re doing it all the wrong way. Plainly: investing is about the long term, finding good businesses and being a long duration partner, yet everything is about corporate activity and quarterly earnings... curious what this forums rebuttals are to this idea and whether you’ve had similar thoughts
Disrespect - not deference
Also, what are some places you guys thing offer the opportunity to be longer term investors
