Washington and Lee, Bucknell, Wake Forest

I am a senior in high school looking to get into IB. What are your thoughts about W&L, Bucknell, and Wake. I am really leaning towards W&L but I am worried about the size of the school and alumni network. Is this a valid concern?

Don't know much about W&L and Bucknell but Wake is very solid. They place quite well for a small school. Few years ago added a Pre Wall Street track which resembles the IU workshop, is run by  a former IBer ,etc. With or without it, they put plenty of kids into IB, S&T, and PB each yr. Check out the Linkedin page and go to Alumni. Pick whatever range you like but also look at individual yrs. Pretty impressive.

For its size W&L places pretty well, has a good presence on the street. Wake and Bucknell are also both pretty solid, Wake maybe a little more so. I would decide between Wake and W&L, but recruiting aside, these are all pretty different schools, so make sure you're also picking the school you think you'll enjoy the most.

Not sure about wake, but I know W&L does pretty well for IB. There are 40-50 seniors going into IB next year. BB and EB's recruit here, but only like 5-10 will get offers if that. Most kids do middle market. Also has a great alumni network who are willing to go out of their way for you. Has good finance clubs but they are very selective. Wake and W&L are totally different schools, you should decide based on what you think will be the better fit.
