Wasn't able to call. Will this harm my placement?

Hey everyone.

The situation is simple. Currently undergoing placement process at a BB for SA. Was supposed to call a banker at a certain time and I was not able to. I followed up with the banker early in the morning the following day and I am waiting to hear back.

My question is, does this have the possibility of harming me during placement? Will it harm me for just the team the banker is from or can it harm me for other teams as well?

You should have let her know BEFORE you missed the call - now you seem unreliable and careless. Good luck at Northwestern Mutual lol.

Have you ever thought of investing in real estate?

Yes this will hurt you, but probably just for that team. I don't think anyone is vindicative enough to ruin your chances in other teams too.

Lesson here is that you ALWAYS need to email in advance if you're going to miss the call, even if it's 5 minutes in advance and says Sent from my iPhone. If you are dead on the side of a road and can't let them know in advance, then you need to follow up an hour later with extreme apologies. Responding the next day is completely dropping the ball.
