We from MS received an Update and no mention of FT :( Title says everything. I am beyond devastated and I don't know why MS does not follow the steps of Citi and Moelis. I think that MS will lose a lot of talent with this move

yeah there is absolutely no way MS recovers from this. their days of being a BB are done. wouldn’t be surprised if they go under or are bought out by Moelis or something at this point

I don't get why there is some herd mentality amongst incoming interns that "giving FT everyone will definitely benefit the banks, and if they don't it's a catastrophe". Yes, it will benefit you (at least short-term), but the bank will have to increase FT headcount significantly if they usually give FT offers 50-70% (several BBs in London last year), and it will be made even worse if the very likely recession does come. Additionally, you get quite a few analysts who would've realized throughout the internship that banking is not the right choice for them (which is completely fair and natural).

hands down one of the cringiest comments ever. “as an incoming SA at MS”... like who do you think you are, everyone commenting on this thread is going to MS. good luck getting a return

Some of you guys (not all) are so entitled. Morgan Stanley may not be offering FT offers, but this just means you have to work for it- nothing wrong with that. In fact, it will feel much better once you go through that battleground. It will give you a sense to see if IBD is right for you and a sense to MS if you are right for them. Getting through the traditional way will only be a positive stamp of approval going in FT in 2021. These kids at Citi will not have this same luxury and for some kids it will be "devastating" when they realize they are in WAY over their heads and have no idea how stressful this job can actually be.
