Wells Fargo reputation

Is Wells Fargo IB considered a bottom BB? Currently deciding between applying Early Decision to a Charlotte IB Target School (mostly Wells Fargo, few kids get into a top BB position in NYC every year but odds are bad) and a Semi Target with a lot of middle office recruiting on campus by 2 top BB.

Are Wells Fargo exit opps good or does the brand get looked down on? Need advice, thanks!

Don't base it off this website...most of the responses are going to be from other college students. Go on Linkedin and filter what you are looking for to get an idea.

Responding a little late, but Wells has a lot of internal mobility (source: interned there this past summer). If you place into a Charlotte group, there’s typically an opportunity to switch locations for full-time (NYC, SF, etc.). A few interns ended up doing so this summer. In terms of schools, Wake and UNC are big targets for Wells IB/front office positions. If you check LinkedIn, you’d be surprised about the amount juniors at those schools who end up going to NYC BBs. Can’t go wrong with either school as the alumni networks are strong. As long as you maintain a decent GPA (3.5+) and network, you will have lots of opportunities to explore different front office careers and interview for a solid variety of positions.

Forgot to mention but in terms of exit opps, a LinkedIn search will show that they place well into LMM-UMM. There’s also a fair amount of flexibility for a third-year Analyst role, depending on the group. NYC typically has more opportunities (higher exposure to headhunters) but CLT has solid exits to Ridgemont, Pamlico, and Frontier. These are decent LMM/MM PE firms.

Sorry for the late reply, somehow my emails from WSO all went to spam and I didn’t see the notifications for the reply. What if I’m interested in HF instead of PE? Is it necessary for me to transfer to NYC later on or are there any HFs that CLT IB places well into? I tried Googling it but nothing useful surfaced
