Wells SA, FT Recruiting

OCR didn't work out quite as well as I expected, so I'm going to be at WF IBD this summer. Like the people, heard pretty good things about the bank, but I'm hoping to have a FT spot at a BB by the end of FT recruiting this fall. Plan is to get the FT offer at Wells, see if I can leverage it. So, that said, I have a couple questions:

  1. What's the etiquette on networking with other banks over the summer? Will people get pissed if I'm emailing them asking to meet up/call and they find out I'm an SA at another bank? Obviously I'm not going to let WF people know, but will, say, the Goldman guy get irritated?

  2. Are there any groups at WF that look particularly good for FT recruiting? I'm allowed to pick my group, so right now I'm thinking LevFin/Industrials in NY.

Thanks.
