West Coast Regional BB SA to New York FT

I have accepted an offer as an investment banking SA at a BB (JP, MS, GS) in Los Angeles. The offer is for a generalist group that does a lot of M&A. I'm from a non-target, so when I got this offer I was ecstatic and accepted immediately, but now am wondering if my decision was too rash. I know that LA is not traditionally known as a finance-hub, and I am aiming to transition to PE after my analyst stint, so I'm afraid that being in LA will hinder PE recruiting. I am wondering if I should try to switch to the SF or NYC offices of my BB for FT or stay in LA if PE is the end goal. Thanks
