What are exits/culture/deal flow like for this group? Ik they brought in new seniors and the franchise is doing better as a whole, but curious how this group is doing specifically, especially for exits.

They are arrangers on a fair number of bond deals but are limited in leveraged loans due to Wells Fargo's conservative credit culture, which restricts capital provision to certain companies.
For exits, the group may not be as strong as other LevFin teams at more aggressive banks, but it still provides a solid understanding of the debt space. Internal networking is easier in Charlotte, where more people are located, making it a better location for staying within Wells Fargo. However, for exits outside the bank, New York is the preferred location.
The franchise has been improving with new senior hires, but the group's overall positioning for exits and deal flow remains somewhat constrained by the bank's conservative approach.
