What Are FLDP's at Investment Banks like?
Kinda curious on the site's opinion of FLDP's at the top companies? What do people normally do after their 2-3 year rotation is over? Do they just get fired?

I would absolutely be thrilled to get ER but there are so few spots open. I'm getting pushed for a decent FLDP that I think would be better than going to ops or compliance.
There are tons of threads regarding FLDP's on this website. Consensus is that doing an FLDP in a company with an established program (GE, J&J, Boeing etc) will fast-track you into management positions.
And no, they don't get fired. Why would a firm spend so much time training you, simply to fire you? That makes no sense whatsoever and it isn't like banking where they just need fresh bodies to do the grunt work. I read somewhere that GE spends around 250k on its FMP's although I'm not sure if this is true.
Yeah it's just unclear at some of the bank FLDP-type programs what you do afterwards (GS/JPM/MS/BAML).
Look at F50-100's FLDP programs. When it comes to banks, the reality is that the traditional FO positions hold the most visibility, and a large number of executives come from here.
A simple way to gauge the quality of an FLDP type program is to just do a linkedin search and see where FLDP's from various firms have placed.
