I work at PJT - it varies but usually between 70-85 from my experience

PJT M&A is a sweatshop as a result of poor management, not incompetent seniors (as is the case at most firms). They’ve hired 15+ seniors in the NY office this year but did not add a single lateral Analyst or Associate to help support them. They let a few Analysts transfer to RSSG but did not backfill their seats (which matters when you have a class of 20). This all results in juniors being incredibly stretched and over-worked but the firm lacks a system to track workload and distribute work evenly (their way of attempting to do this is sending the staffers an email if you work after 2am…). The staffers themselves are Associates who are juggling a full workload so they do not care about you one bit. Any attempt at a discussion or plea for help results in a 10 minute pep talk. Multiple instances of juniors who have had to take a leave of absence this past year due to mental and physical health issues. There are no protected weekends or Saturday’s and it’s impossible to get coverage when you try to take vacation.
PJT do better.
