wallstdj:
If the person had internship experience at a hedge fund as an analyst for a summer and Bank of America as an analyst for a year and is currently working as a financial analyst at a non-financial services firm, would that help the chances?

Not really. That work experience would be in line with 50% of the other applicants and does nothing to make you standout. A low GPA

Focus on getting a job first. BSchool is at least two years away for you. Your credentials are fine, just get busy looking for work and then totally kick ass at whatever you end up doing, and transfer / lateral out/up if you can.

Get busy living
