What banks consistently hire laterals / hire 'more' FT
Hey y'all,
Junior going into my final internship here. Unfortunately, recruiting for IB went tits up for me, but I managed to land a pretty good role (TAS / FDD at B4). I know that with the tariffs and everything going around, this is not going to be an exact science and it might be radically different this year, but as per the title, which banks (EB / BB/ MM) usually hire a fair amount of laterals and external FT (not from their intern class)? I know Jef is one, are there any other notable firms?
Would love any help.

No banks likely in the current economy.
Yes, but the current economy won't last indefinitely, so what would the situation look like in general?
Bumpity, refuse to believe no banks aside from Jef and Raymond hire FT
Citi definitely hires a disproportionate number compared to other BBs
At Citi any new FT hires that didnt SA is done on a group-by-group basis. There are no official postings and is done exclusively through networking. I've heard of M&A, Industrials, Power, and Consumer all hiring FT.
JPM hires aggresively, even now
Anyone have any insight on PJT? Feel like they may hire relatively more FT than SA return offers
Nope. They do FT recruiting to replace the ones that jumped to buyside
is that just for rssg or also m&a?
Smaller regionals. The rest will be tough.
Not even for laterals (not FT out of college)?
