Hmm, using my first post on this thread. Im also wondering what you all drive. Im stuck between ordering a 335i coupe or the IS, im torn. Im sure im not close to what some of you push, but this is my first car
Still a student: I purchased a '95 civic in 2002 with the money I earned in middle school (under the table), and 1 year of high school. Prepped it for autocrossing, and still drive it.
This friday I am picking up a new Harley, an 883 Iron for those of you that know their models.
If I get a full-time offer from my internship, I will probably look into a used Audi S4. Working in the midwest, I'll need the AWD.
Down the line (5+ years), I'll probably buy some project cars ('50s-00s german cars--porsche, bmw, benz).
Currenly, when I'm free, I'm helping my dad put a 911 engine in a 914. For those of you who understand what will come of this project, I am very excited (power/weight, oh my!).
I've been a huge fan of the M series ever since I was a kid, and the e46 body styling has always held a special place in my heart. So when the opportunity came around to pick-up a near perfect, low mileage, competition package M3 I did just that.
I haven't had much of an opportunity to mod the car, but I'll be throwing on some replica CSL parts from Vorsteiner later this summer as I'll have more time and money to do such.

I have admired the M3 since I was a kid, too, especially modded ones. I have considered, and still am, just saying fuck it to a used Audi S4 and it's AWD, and getting an M3 and snow tires for it.

Most junior bankers live in the city and don't own a car. Senior bankers generally live out in westchester and CT and generally drive some form of luxury SUV (kids, family, etc..)
I know of one guy that I work with who has a variety of cool cars, porche, lotus, etc... but more of a rarity than anything else.
2007 Honda Accord. Don't really care too much for cars. If I was 100% positive that I was going to stay in the country and live in areas where I'd need a car, I'd go and get myself a Lexus GS.

Depends what city you are in etc. I know some senior associates / vp's have porsches and one aston martin I think. A few analysts I know have a lower end lexus or something similar. You don't really need a car in the city but at some stage I think you don't feel like a real grown up unless you have one (for me that point would be late 20s).
I dont have a car but I'm also a big fan of the M3 though insurance where I live would be too high on it at my age.
Philosopher, my boss was at the meeting and they were waiting on one of members of board of directors. He was late so they called him. He was taking a freaking public bus. His worth > $1BB
Currently, I drive an '08 G35X Sedan (Wish I waited til they released the G37X Coupe). Before that, I drove a Subaru Outback Wagon. After I wear out the welcome on the G35X, which will be a while (4-5 years minimum), I think I'm gonna go back to a Subaru. I just loved the way that car handled.
Honestly, if you don't live in Manhattan, you need a car. If I lived in the city, I would refuse to own a car, either renting a Zip Car, or heading home using a family car instead (They live 45 minutes outside of the city by train). Since I live in the Hoboken/Jersey City/Newport-Pavonia area, I keep my car in order to get around in Suburbia.

Like those a lot. If I didn't have the car I have now, I'd pick one of those up, or the new M3's are nice, too.
