What do bankers look for in financial statements?
Also, if there were 4-5 figures on financial statements that were most commonly used to evaluate the performance of a company, which ones would they be?

You're going to get a lot of different answers in replies. I personally always look at sales, net income, EBITDA, and debt. If I want to go deeper than those four, I'll look at margins as well as working capital, etc.
It really varies with each industry. Retail uses metrics like Sales/sq ft. where Oil & Gas is much more focused on sustaining capex and EBITDAX.
