What does Prior/ Current stub mean?
I am teaching myself how to do Comparable Companies Analysis using a PDF textbook and some Templates. While filling out the reported income statement on the target company, I see "prior stub" and "current stub". Is this referencing the latest quarterly earnings reports, filings, or something else? Some help would be welcome.
It means- if you are creating a trailing twelve months model you input the current stub- whatever it is 3 months, 6 months, ect- and then the prior stub so the current stub gets added and the prior stub gets subtracted. Hope that helps.
