When you say you email bankers, what exactly is your goal, what bankers are you emailing and what do you say when you email them. Just so that us readers can get an idea of what youre doing.
Basically to show my interest in the company say that I have applied on the company website and on my schools career website (if applicable) and give them my resume.

When did you email and start networking? The thing is if you missed the boat, you missed the boat. Junior year recruiting quite structured and almost 100% wrapped up at all the companies you've heard of/would want to work for.
Couple months prior to the deadline. After looking at my resume, the VP actually encouraged me to apply online. Idk if this is just a default response or not but at least he replied. I also emailed him against week prior to the interviews just reminding him that I applied and was still interested in the job.
