what if

What if I had quit a job that I was working this semester because I was too busy, but it was on my resume prior to me quitting? How do I handle any questions given to me by BB banks and what if I already had an interview before I quit the job? Do they do a check to see if I am still working there? And the job I quit got a little pissed because I left so abruptly. How does all of this affect me getting a job at a bank (assuming all else equal about my grades, etc.) Basically I am wondering how extensive does HR go into my previous employment. (I am an undergrad)
