What is a Private Equity Analyst/Advisory Role at an IBank?

Hello - was wondering what a Private Equity Analyst/Advisory role at an Investment Bank does and if they differ greatly by bank - eg. I saw that JEF/EVR/GS has one from Handshake, LinkedIn, WSO, etc., surely others have a group too but I haven't come across them yet. Is this supposed to be an elusive thing lol

And of course the obligatory questions: what are the hours like, exit opps (if it's something people look to exit from), skillsets needed, etc. (apparently there's a distinction between Primary and Secondary groups but I'm also unclear on that)

Any info would be much appreciated cheers x
