What is asked in a technical interview for a position in restructuring?
Hello,
I would like to know what interviewers ask in interviews for roles in restructuring, and to know how these interviews differ from those for M&A. I know that technical interviews in Investment Banking involve questions about accounting (3 main financial statements and their interconnections), valuation questions (DCF and comparables), M&A questions (accretive/ dilutive analysis) and some questions about LBO. Are candidates for restructuring roles required to have another knowledge or otherwise the process is like in M&A?
