Also probably a stupid question, but what's the current consensus on Guggenheim, Rothschild, Mizuho Greenhill, Jefferies, and HL being EBs or not? Always hear contradicting info about these.
Generally not EBs, Rothschild is an EB in Europe but not US. Gugg would be the closest one to an EB, but is probably not in that category.
I still feel like Greenhill places quite well no? Have seen great UMM + a handful of MF placements from them. Or is GHL just dead in the water atp.

They’re elite boutiques. Firms that basically only do advisory. MOE/LAZ/PWP/EVR/CVP/PJT make up the clear ones while GUGG/ROTH are slightly controversial in the rankings.
