What is happening in applications?

I am passing tests and then just not hearing back while others are getting next rounds. Has happened with UBS and GHL till now. For context, I am at a target (LSE/Oxbridge), good leadership roles in societies and also did a first year summer internship at a boutique.

Is this just my CV not being good enough to get processed? Very confused and puzzled as to how to solve this.

Could anyone please provide more insights? Thanks.

Same here. Just assume you got dinged and keep applying. Nothing else to do.

Not in your control, what else is there to do except apply and prep as hard as possible in case you get an interview.

Last year I think the Bristol tracker said it took ~68 applications to land an offer. It really is a numbers game.

Just got my UBS rejection hahah

You’ll only make it through the recruitment cycle if the rejections don’t come as a surprise and knock you

Pretty sure that due to networking being way less important and the incredible volume of apps, plenty of good CVs just get randomly thrown out - hence the need for a large volume of applications.

Unlucky on the rejections so far but there's nothing we can do except continue to apply (and of course ensure your CV is optimised).

This. Also, dont feel entitled to an internship just because you go to a target. Finally, diversity still plays a role in UK recruiting unfortunately except at certain banks (MS, PJT)

Chill out. At this point last year I had 0 interviews. I ended up with 9 ACs and 5 offers.
