What is Street associate comp right now?
It's been a few years since I left IB, but what is A0, A1, A2, and A3 associate comp (base + bonus) at now? Thanks!

ASO bonuses are ~80-100%, right? If so, then TC easily breaks 300s-400s from the mid/bottom bucket. So what's the race to break into PE for?
lifestyle and more interesting work. opp for carry down the road. more optionality down the road
PE is a long term option that requires some short term sacrifice.
Don’t think there’s much of a race to pe anymore. We had our first a2a in our office right after the associate comp bumped. Really hard to turn down if you’re not gung-ho about being an investor
unless you’re a a current associate at GS or EVR
Have they not bumped pay yet?
EVR summer associate returns were $185k
Thanks! What are general bonus targets? 75%-100% was the norm when I left.
Disclosure, I’m an analyst. Have heard 100% is still normal if you’re good, up to VP level at BB’s .
AS1: 80-110%
AS2: 100-125%
AS3: 100-200%. Wouldn’t be surprised to see AS3’s getting $350-400k bonuses this year
It's about tree fiddy
Anyone know what’s A0 salary at Jefferies Is?
I think Associate 0 got raised to 150k.
Does Jeff pay below street at all levels?
EB:
A1 - 350
A2 - 425
A3 - 500
Agree with this for EB, precovid. This year might be gangbusters tho.
Which banks are still 150-175-200?
GS is in a very odd position right now:
A0/1 (MBAs that started last month): $175K
A1/2 (those that started in Summer 2020): $150K
A2/3 (those that started Summer 2019): $175K
A3 (Summer 2018 start): $200K
What could possibly be the rationale for not raising A1-3 in-step with A0s?
I wish I had an answer for you (and for myself). GS being GS (cheap) is my only reasonable explanation.
My best guess is they are trying to get away with waiting until January to increase our base.
My guess is it will be raised soon with backpay
Only based on whispers I’ve heard and may not be the case everywhere, but very good chance the pay bumps just come out of the bonus pool
