What is with banks asking for SAT / ACT scores?

Hey monkeys,

Currently interviewing for lateral IB Associate position at lower middle market bank, and they're asking for my freaking SAT / ACT scores. I'm 30 years old damnit, and seriously don't even remember what I scored, nor do I have them in my records. Now I've gotta reach out to my high school to retrieve, which is a nuisance.

I was a slap dick when I was 18, and just wanted to score high enough to get into my local state school so I could do keg races and bang chicks - definitely didn't take academics seriously twelve years ago, but I was a completely different person back then.

Why do some banks do this to candidates that are so far out from high school?
