What Sets Apart BB

I’ve been looking on LinkedIn at Williams College alumni who have made it into IB. Everyone I’ve talked to at Williams has told me that Williams has a pipeline to Wall Street. But what is it that sets apart people that make it to a BB vs a MM. Did the MM person just not have as high of a GPA? What is the factor that sets apart people at BB? If I am at a target school and actively network will I have a good chance at BB?
