What to say in Alumni Networking Call?

Hey everyone, I’m a second year transfer student at a target public school. The past two weeks, I’ve been sending out emails to alumni, and I’ve been getting responses. Thursday, I had a phone call with an analyst at an EB. I was really nervous at first, but he ended up being really chill, and we talked about what he did at school, and what I can do as a non finance major to stand a chance. He also said I could contact him anytime I have a question. How can I maintain this connection? Also, do analysts have influence in recruiting?

On Monday, I have a phone call with a VP at a MM PE firm with around 30 employees. I would like to intern there over the summer, and I imagine that he has some pull, but I have no way to go about asking and I have no experience. What should I ask him about during the informational interview?
