What's the chance of my offer getting rescinded?

I have just got an official verbal FT offer (S&T) from a BB bank this week. I am almost certain that I will take the offer. But I haven't done so because I have another final round interview already scheduled (they booked the flights, hotel and everything already) for a prop shop next week. Say, I tell the prop shop that I already have an offer on the table from the said BB firm (for leverage) and then unfortunately bomb the final round interviews really really badly, is it possible for the BB firm to find out and rescind their offer? Obviously, I will do my best. But can I still go into this final round with absolutely no pressure of doing well?

Yes, you can go to the prop shop interview. There's no reason for the BB to rescind an offer if you haven't yet signed and the deadline to sign hasn't passed.

1) They won't find out (prop shop wouldn't report back to the BB after your interview wrapped up) 2) Even if they did, they wouldn't rescind the offer.

Why even mention the offer to the prop shop if you fully intend on taking the BB?

Why would company A find out about a candidate's performance in an interview with company B? And if company A already gave an offer why would they give a shit about his or her performance in the interview with company B? Or even be able to find out that the interview took place, yet go so far as to get some dialogue going about that candidate's performance? Makes zero sense.

When I click this thread I expected along the lines of a criminal charge, GPA fraud, etc. Your situation is perfectly normal and no offers will be rescinded.

Possibly, depends if the firm that was reneged on takes the time to find out where the candidate is going to and decides to notify the other company. I've definitely heard of it happening before.

A very small probability. Most people who work in Big 4 don't have many connections to high finance, nor do they have the time or desire to go out of the way to do so. I have several friends who reneged Big 4 Valuation to MM IBD.
