What's the word on Incentrum Group?

Anyone know much about the merchant bank Incentrum Group in terms of culture, exit opps, and type of work you'd be doing? Haven't been able to uncover much from just digging around online as they seem to have been founded pretty recently, but the founders seem like sharp guys. They are currently recruiting on-campus for summer interns and I'm wondering how they'd stack up relative to a traditional investment banking internship.

Can't speak much in terms of exit opps and the like, but after interviewing with an analyst and an associate there, they seem to be not only pretty sharp, but also relatively chill.

Get Jiggy With It

Im not in the industry so take this with a grain of salt but i think going incentrum could get you the same looks as going to EB given the credibility of senior mgmt. Assuming the deals they pull in are of similar size to those when they were in BBs. At same time I do understand PE recruiting is driven by headhunters so EBs are more established in that regard. The exits that have happened at incentrum though few do seem pretty cool. Saw one guy doing venture investing in food products

Was wondering if anyone had updated thoughts on this firm... Have been in casual conversation with some of the guys there about a lateral opportunity and they all seem pretty chill and not too work-deprived. Came across a glassdoor review though that looks to be pretty recent, which seems like the exact opposite of the vibe I was getting

Currently at a BB/EB and was hoping for above market comp so would really appreciate insights here as not getting a bonus when promised one is just absolutely killer.....

Why would you leave a BB/EB for these guys? The only type of move going to a “smaller firm” would only make sense if you hate your current group and need to get out ASAP.

Most EBs (if not all) pay above average street Im at (CVP/PJT/EVR) and I don’t know any firm that pays above us except barring maybe Robey Warshaw but thats just an outlier since they’re so small/lean.

Even at a BB you should be getting $140-150k all in first year is it really worth the material $10-20k difference? Probably not. Also staying at a BB (assuming you want to stay in banking) lets you easily go to EBs or other top boutiques/MM whereas coming from Incentrum? Probably an uphill battle.

I know an analyst there and went to an info session for the firm where they brought out the entire senior leadership to campus which was cool. They’re obviously a very lean operation of former senior bankers at BBs, their logic for forming Incentrum was that the modern public ownership of BBs dilutes their ability to make money for themselves and the MB structure helps them further rake in the cash. Refreshingly honest if seemingly self-centered people with a work hard play hard attitude.

Following, go to one of their target schools and really impressed by the senior leadership at the firm
