When do pms leave for christmas/NY holiday?

So here the story. A professor took me (phd) along to consult for a ibank Asset Management division. So I get to directly communicate with the PM. He is nice.

I sent him an email this Monday but he hasn't replied me. I guess the standard practice is to wait for a week and send in another email. But given its almost holiday now, I will wait early-mid Jan for that.

So just curious, are some asset management firms off for vacation this early? Like 19th? That would be a vacation almost as long as the one our school has!!! When should work return to normal? Second week of Jan?

No real industry experience newbie needs help. thanks guys.

Shoot him an e-mail next Thursday or call the office first. Then e-mail Jan 3rd if you don't get a response
