I know it's an oldie, but maybe some folks are still browsing this post, so here goes.

Most BBs open their summer schemes in September. GS, CS, UBS and Barclays open theirs in August and you can apply anywhere else from Sep 1st (including non-BB), except for RBC (they open theirs in Nov). Hope this helps.

Correct. You can just start the application process from September 1st, when almost every bank will allow you to. Since you are aiming at summer internships there is no need to apply on the very first day at every bank since they will initially focus on full time recruiting.

I'm grateful that I have two middle fingers, I only wish I had more.
