When should I follow up?

So I basically networked my ass off, I literally dug through old company website and came in contact with an associate and MD from that firm (other people just ghosted me lol) but I was like the company is not that huge they have maybe around $3B of annual advised deal value so I just thought I would shoot my shot, why not. I also asked a friend who interned there a while ago to throw in a good word for me. I guess it worked out and I basically got a reply from MD we exchanged numbers we spoke and he told me to send him my CV and that we would speak on the phone briefly to discuss an opportunity. I sent him the CV and it has been ~2-2.5 days that he has me left on read. Which obviously didn't bother me like the man is busy even if it took him a week to reply I wouldn't mind, but the thing that worries me is that whenever he took long-ish time to reply he never left me on read and now he didn't tell me when he was free or like nothing like no response. I obviously told him that I would appreciate any type of guidance or if he could give me even 2 minutes of his time, I would literally get on call on 4am, I would make any time work. I am not sure if my CV was that garbage but I mean I believe its okay for a first year kid. im at a top 3 school for hires, my technicals are quiet good, especially for a first year and not that it matters a lot but I have BMC and know how to use it so I am not THAT much of a bad hire. I also have a decent CV, I had a few close friends from the industry rate it and they said that for a first year kid its definitely not bad. I, with my team, was also finalist for a national comp this year and I basically built our model fully alone. I am not sure how long should I wait until I follow up? Do I wait a week, a few more business days? How should I proceed? I am asking this because I have two smaller offers, that I gotta get back to soon-ish.
