anything you hear is largely speculation in my opinion, though there is a rumor about that a major bank has/is filing for chapter 11 soon (they couldnt have already done it or itd be all over the SEC and we'd know by now)
as far as exposure to the risky assets/mortgages/etc, lehman and bear have the two of the riskiest positions and we all know about bear's "issues" over the past couple weeks or so...
