Which banks have the best M&A coverage of Alternative Asset Managers?
Essentially if Blackstone wants to go purchase a PE shop, which groups do they turn to first? Also, are alternate asset managers covered normally in FIG or Sponsors? I could see an argument for both but there is little discourse on this website about it, so curious to start a discussion.

This is done by the FIG group. All the bulges/EBs do this. HL pretty active in mid-market space.
