Which internship project to work on?

Have begun an internship in the think tank of the Government of India. I'm working in the Public-Private Partnerships Vertical.

Have two options for my project:

  • Evaluation of the sale of two government owned telecom towers. This seems like pure Project Finance.
  • Working on a demerger of a publicly-owned listed power company to spin off their ESG assets. This is a clear capital markets transaction according to my supervisor.

The final deliverable will be case study/presentation—I will not be working on a live deal.
The internship, since it's for the government is unpaid, but it's somewhat prestigious and relevant to IB and/or Infrastructure finance.

Which project will help me more long-term for breaking into IB? I'm leaning towards the second one as of now but have no experience and would greatly appreciate some input.
