Which one is better for PE exits: MBB or Mid Tier IB(UBS/DB/HL)

Was fortunate enough to get an offer from MBB as well as from an Investment Bank and wondering what I should choose if my long term career goals are to exit to PE. Would really appreciate any insights and advice

Depends on which MBB (PE practice is the only real relevant one for exits for the most part) and which group in a mid-tier IB. HL is not the same as UBS/DB, HL RX exits better than those two by a lot but HL M&A exits worse. McKinsey exits aren't too strong and BCG is okay, but Bain PE arm is clearly better than the UBS/DB top groups.  Would still take a McKinsey offer over a UBS/DB one given general reputation boost, but for purely PE; McKinsey does not place all that well as the business is mostly around strategic work.

Which one would you say is better between Bain and Wells (top group at both) and do you think the actual work at Bain will prepare you better than a 2 year analyst stint in IB?
