I would highly recommend zecco. only $4.5 a trade + free trades if you trade over a certain amount. Simple to use, no problems. Note that its not on the list of approved " brokers" meaning, if you're about to start a job, where compliance requires you to clear your trades, most likely you will have to move to a major name (charles, fidelity, etrade etc)

 

I use Zecco. You can't beat 4.50 trades, and they don't charge extra for stocks under $1.00. The site isn't that fancy though, and it goes down sometimes. On April 1,2009, I awoke to find over $13million in my account, and so did most other Zecco users. It also takes a while for your money to settle once you make a sell. Needless to say, it has it's problems.

If you're only going to trade a couple times a week, I'd reccomend Zecco.
