Is Morgan Joseph TriArtisan a known name in investment banking? Is it considered a regional boutique?

The dude who founded it was the former head of Drexel when it collapsed. He died recently, but they seem like a respectable middle market firm.
They seem affiliated with SMB Capital
I haven't heard anything bad about them, all I've heard is that their top guys are smart as shit. Yes, a couple of their top guys came from Drexel, which makes some people hesitant about them.
So in other words, its not totally unknown? What is Drexel?
