Who is still recruiting? SA 2015

Hi all,

I know that larger firms are finishing up with recruiting, but I am wondering where I still have a chance at getting into recruiting game. I come from a non-target school, GPA ~3.6/7, female with 1 finance-related internship, but otherwise non-finance background. Is it time to start cold-calling larger MM's? Even those seem to be finishing up their recruiting.

Any advice would be helpful. Thanks!

Most firms have just started their recruiting for SA. At my school, 1st round OCR interviews don't even take place until January. I'd say that you still have a good shot at getting some interviews if you start networking now.

There seems to be a lot of confusion here, so I'll try to clarify: different firms have different timelines for different (target) schools. I don't know about other banks, but when I was in banking, all the non-targets got lumped together and had their own timeline as well. In general, (as others have said), it is not too late; start networking (which you should have been doing already anyway, especially given the fact you go to a non-target).

Agree with previous- For targets, most recruiting occurs in Jan-Feb Not sure about non-target timeline, but definitely network now and especially over winter break when your schedule might be more flexible (speaking with people should clarify your particular timeline as well)
