We aren't meant to be on Earth. It's complete luck that conditions suitable for life persisted on a planet for enough time (hundreds of millions of years) to develop complex multi cellular organisms. At any point some extra-terrestrial event could occur wiping us all off this puny rock.

Yeah, some "extraterrestrial event" could have wiped us out, but it didn't (thanks in part to Jupiter's gravitational pull). Too many right things happened. The belief that anything could happen, given enough time, is ridiculous. Design cannot be produced by chance, no matter how much time it's given. GIGO is a truism, even beyond professional services.
