Life's so messed up right now that I don't even know where to begin untangling it. Having a relationship will just give me a nervous breakdown.Wbu, why are you single?
7 months out of a 2 year relationship that was terrible for me. My ex was just wayyyyyy too emotional about literally everything and anything. Requires too much attention like a puppy. Had 5/6 different hookups since breaking up with her, don’t expect another relationship for at least a few years.
What would give you a breakdown over a relationship?
For me it's a lack of understanding that I need time to myself. As well as refusal to admit they have done anything wrong. Never apologizing. Constantly positioning as the victim and when you realise there would be no plans, unless you are the one to initiate them

Dawg learn how to be alone and appreciate your own company. It's the best thing you can do. I dated someone for 5+ yrs and felt lost after breaking up. You'll come back. Just get in the gym and get your mind right.

Because girls I see in Massachusetts always look like they crawled from the sewers, and because I take rejection too harshly. I have a number of mental health issues that were diagnosed when I was about five or six years old, some of which are no longer qualified as their own disorders, that make me hypersensitive when it comes to the fairer sex. I always wanted to have a girlfriend of my own, and (despite the first sentence) I'd have a lot of kindness and warmth to offer her, but so far my wish hasn't been granted yet.
I guess that's my story.

Because the pervasive hook-up culture makes it hard to find someone to build a dream with and easy to find someone to fulfill "short term needs". I'm just going to live my life, work as hard as I can, take care of my dog and travel the world as much as possible and just enjoy however much time I have left on the planet on my own.

My last relationship ended two years ago and I've hardly dated since. I'm kinda done building a body count and am not that interested in most girls. I'm hooking up with one right now but would never date her... kinda shitty.
I think this is because it took me years to combat depression/get my career sorta off the ground. Finally in a place where I'm at peace with myself and am genuinely happy. Don't feel like I "need" a SO unless they're amazing and additive to my life.
Plus most of my friends/peers are getting married and I genuinely think most are conforming with social norms/settling. What happened to enjoying your youth? These ppl are in their 30s and behave like 55 y/o's. Call me immature but I'm hanging on to my youth for dear life.
