Bankers do not know anything about the buy side, do they? Just because you can monkey around in excel for hours at a time building a model doesn't mean you know whether or not to short Oil ETFs, correcT? I don't get it.

They need someone to do the monkey work I guess. Plus the plan is to teach them about the buy side anyway. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think there are a lot of analysts at hedge funds. Therefore to get fresh blood they hire bankers.
