Why ib is pathetic nowadays

The important point is that programmers don't pay taxes. Given a 220k takehome a programmer is making 90k more than an associate. Programming requires no real credentials or experience, an associate requires an MBA.

The programmer invests his 90k in California real estate with a 50% return. By the time the associate has moved to vp the programmer has a 150k lead in passive income. This puts him up to the equivalent of 560k pretax and a vp only makes like 500k.

In theory managing directors and so forth make more, but in reality that comp is getting cut and deferred like crazy and MD jobs are going to be outsourced to sweatshops in Bangladesh.

In conclusion ib is a path to poverty and fail.
